Skills Acquisition Center
Providing skills for self sustainability
In 2009 the terrorist organization Boko Haram began a reign of terror in northeast Nigeria that has resulted in the death of over 25,000 people and displaced more than 2.5 million people from their homeland. Our base of operations is in Gombe State, Nigeria, which borders the three states where Boko Haram carried out its scorched earth policy. More than 500,000 refugees have flooded in to Gombe state from these bordering states to the north and east.
The Skills Acquisition Center presently under construction will provide training in such life sustaining skills as Dry Season Farming, often referred to as Drip Irrigation Farming, as well as poultry and catfish production.
