Skills Acquisition Center

Providing skills for self sustainability

The plan for this center is to provide skills to enable people to be self-sustaining through agriculture. Hope Springs and its partners purchased more than eight acres of land, five of which are enclosed within a wall. The property also has a well and 1,500-gallon raised tanks to provide water for all future projects. A chicken house has been built and cages purchased. Because of its location and the great demand for eggs in this area, we anticipate that this will be a major success financially, helping the center itself to become self-sustaining. Other projects are planned, including tank-raised catfish and drip-irrigation farming.
